Sense wins Red Dot design award

The award is a great start for Herman Miller’s latest innovation, Sense. Sense, the result of more than three years of collaborative engineering and design development between Herman Miller and Daniel Korb, has been designed as a modern solution to workplace and home office environment needs. Through its innovative design, unique aesthetics, and industry-leading engineering, it combines simplicity with speed, offering users a modular systems solution that can be easily specified, ordered and installed. Sense will be officially unveiled in Milan, Italy at the SaloneUfficio in April.

女長期翹腳  竟長6公分骨刺
姿勢不良持續3小時 腰痛寸步難行
2009年03月11日蘋果日報醫療健康 【林媛玲、許佳惠╱台北報導】長期翹腳，小心骨刺上身。一名失業女子日前上網找工作時又是翹腳又是盤坐，三個小時後，腰痛到寸步難行，就醫檢查發現，長期坐姿不良已導致她的椎間盤破裂，經手術取出六公分骨刺才康復。醫師表示，失業潮導致求職民眾常上網，一旦坐姿不良，極易引發腰痠背痛，最近這類求診患者已增加兩成。 不可輕忽
收治病例的署立雙和醫院骨科部主任吳興盛昨表示，這名三十三歲的陳小姐，原本是銀行行員，以前上班時就愛翹腳，日前遭裁員後，經常在家以翹腳、盤坐等姿勢在電腦桌前上網找工作，有次她以右腳弓起，左腳盤起的坐姿，一上網就是三個小時，起身後竟發現腰部與左臀、左腿劇痛，幾乎痛到寸步難行，才趕緊就醫。
經磁振造影等檢查，吳興盛發現，陳小姐的第四與第五腰椎間的椎間盤已破裂，形成的骨刺長達六公分，並壓迫到其旁的神經，才會讓她痛到寸步難行。
